What is Humanism? This question has been asked and answered many times, in many ways. As with any important philosophical question, all written answers will have their strengths and weaknesses.
To explore Humanism’s meaning and significance more actively than one could by reading any single website, please attend our lectures, seminars, and discussions. With us, you can not only learn about but possibly help shape the answers we will be working towards.
For now, however, we highly recommend the introduction to Greg Epstein's book Good Without God: What a Billion Nonreligious People Do Believe. This 10-page section is a great introduction for the beginner as well as a thought-provoking refresher for readers already familiar with Humanism. And for an ongoing, interactive discussion of important topics in Humanism, see our online magazine/blog, The New Humanism.
