Epstein's CNN Op-Ed on Muhammad Drawings

We're excited to announce that Greg Epstein has an op-ed featured at CNN.com today:

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/20/my-take-everyone-chalk-mohammed/

The piece addresses the controversial "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day" which has been making the rounds on the internet and on several college campuses, even causing Pakistan to shut down use of Facebook.

Greg takes a balanced view, affirming the need for freedom of expression and the good intentions of those who have used the Day to defend it. But in drawing a line the appropriateness of chalking Muhammad on campus quads, he reaches out to moderate Muslims, building bridges and the potential for mutual understanding.

Greg spoke to three of the most important Muslim leaders in the US for this piece, and all acknowledged the important contribution Humanists, atheists, and the nonreligious make to American social, cultural, and political life.

Check out the piece and let your friends on facebook and twitter know about it! And make sure to sign up on our mailing list as well!
